MEFTAH– Movement Music Festival



Omar Meftah, better known as ‘Meftah’, is a Detroit-based producer, DJ, and founder of the Musha Publishing imprint.

A multi-instrumentalist and beat maker at his foundation, his work spans across genres, embodying these ‘Sounds of the Diaspora’, a phrase often used by Meftah to relay his universal relationship with music.

In 2020, he released his debut EP, “Information Travels Through” (AOM001), establishing his Musha imprint and expressing his own unique perspective within Detroit's notorious music scene.

Meftah followed up with “You Will Find What’s Inside” (AOM002), a 7-track, digital composition continuing to tell his story through sound, heritage, and Ancestry. His 3rd body of work,

"Life-Like" (AOM003) is set to release March 11th, 2022.

Meftah has co-produced for Amp Fiddler's 'Keep Coming remixes' on Moodymann's Mahogani Music(2019), provided instrumentation for BlackNoi$e's 'Oblivion' album on Earl Sweathshirt's Tan Cressida Records (2020), and co-produced on the theme music for Jemele Hill's Spotify exclusive 'Jemele Hill is Unbothered' podcast (2019).
